About Wisconsin
Welcome to the Wisconsin Region!
Whether (pun intended) it’s snowfall or heavy rain, the Upper Midwest has a slew of rivers that are fed by seasonal precipitation. Unfortunately with snow comes cold, and in Wisconsin you better have a bomber roll if you want to avoid the ‘ice-cream’ headache from being submerged. You can find anything from class 1 to class 4(5) in Wisconsin, and no matter what river you choose the scenery will be amazing. From the gorges of the Menominee and the Wolf to the wooded escapes of the Paint and Red, paddling in the Upper Midwest never disappoints. If play is what you want, check out the Wisconsin River through the Wausau play park or the Root River by Milwaukee.
