About the Seattle-Tacoma Region
Western Washington is the center of the universe. Drive two hours in any direction and be in an entirely different world. We have the world’s most northern tropical rainforest, amazing sea kayaking near the San Juan Islands and in the Puget Sound itself (look for whales!) the northernmost United States Cascade mountain range including the famous Mount Saint Helens, and plenty of ski resorts for those few days when you don’t want to go boating. And the Boating!!! There is never a day when you can’t drive 2 hours and be on the river (with enough water to boat), I promise! Whether you live in Seattle, Tacoma, or any of the surrounding cities and towns, the Puget Sound area is an amazing place to call home. You’ll never leave!
