About Nova Scotia

ns1Welcome to the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick Region

New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are found in the northeastern part of North America and best know to the rest of the world for it’s quaint fishing villages that supply some of the best seafood in the world. The gently rolling hills inland with thier sparse populations have hidden a treasure trove of whitewater paddling that has just begun to be explored. In fact there are some great creeks for the hardcore paddler as well as lots of class II/III rivers with super fun park and play spots. The season starts late in the fall and continues right through the winter for those willing to paddle in the cold and into the spring. There are only a few spots available in the summer with the best being the Reversing Falls of the Saint John River in New Brunswick. Nova Scotia also has some amazing surf all along it’s coast with waves up to 10 meters in hurricane and the post tropical storms between July and November which helps bridge the summer river lows and occasionally bring enough rain for short lived summer paddling.
