Thank You Veterans

Today I took part in our Remembrance Day ceremonies. The weather was horrible with heavy rains and wind. I think I was warmer the last January swim I had. While I was standing there I was thinking about all the brave men and women that have been through far worse weather and circumstances. After the ceremonies I was going for a paddle which I am able to do so because of the sacrifices these men and women made and will continue to make to keep us safe and able to do the things that we enjoy doing. I usually paddle on Christmas Day, New Years Day and most holidays for that matter. I do think that I appreciate the Remembrance Day paddles the most because it really put everything into perspective.

We have the luxury to paddle because of these hero’s sacrifices. I hope all you you took a minute to give thanks to a veteran today.

Thank you to all the Veterans and military personal keeping us safe everyday.
