The Fraser Valley offers everything that an outdoor enthusiast could want. There are several rivers and creeks in the area with water ranging from a gentle float with great scenery and the occasional sea lion. At the other end we have loads of whitewater runs at all levels of difficulty. The area has some great hiking and mountain bike trails including some popular downhill biking trails. Being located just outside of the Vancouver area the weather allows for year round paddling and hiking. The area still has lots of opportunities for winter sports as well; there are ski hills in the area along with lots of places to go snowshoeing and back county skiing.

Beginner Paddle Start this Tuesday May 15. We will meet at the parking lot on the south side of the Vedder bridge at 6:30pm. I do need to know who will be there by Sunday night to make sure there is appropriate safety boaters.
