About DC/Potomac

Great Falls Center Lines peel out Washington, DC is one the best cities in the world for whitewater paddling. The Potomac River is deep, warm, runs year-round, and offers an amazing spectrum of paddling opportunities: Gentle Class I to extreme Class IV. Playspots of all sizes. Technical slalom courses. Beautiful river runs. The local tributaries offer short but intense creeking. And all with quick, easy access, and a thriving, friendly community of boaters.

Currently there aren't and paddlers participating in the World Kayak Throwdown Amateur Ranking Program for the DC Potomac Region. To participate you need to Register for and attend a WK Throwdown event as a PAID member of World Kayak ($10.00 annually).

If you are already registered or competed this year, you can still Get Ranked and complete your registration. (Your previous scores will be included in our system.)
