Welcome to Bozeman

kootenaicreekBozeman Montana is located two hours northwest of Yellowstone National Park and contains some of the best whitewater in the state. The most commonly run rivers are The Gallatin, Yellowstone, and The Madison along with a plethora of excellent creeks to back up those standard runs. Theres boating for all types of paddlers here, from scenic class II floats all the way up to gnar V+ expeditions. The Gallatin is the typical “after work” run for Bozmanites as it is a 25 minute drive from the heart of town and has several stretches that range from II to IV depending on flows.

Final Reno HTTD of 2018

May 30th, 2018 Contributed by: bozemankayaker

F or the final HTTD of 2018 we headed up to the rapids at Floriston on the Truckee River.  Of course, it was dumping rain up until time to start, then it cleared out and was beautiful.  The rain kept all but the most persistent boaters at home, but we still had a fun race course set up and then Ninkasi beer and prizes from our sponsors:   Mountain Khakis, Astral, IR, Jackson Kayak, Kokatat, Rapid Transit and Accent . See you all on the river and thanks for a great 2018 Home Town Throwdown Season

First Home Town Throw Down of 2018

Water levels are high and so was the energy at Dead Dog Hole for some fun competition. The event starting out with a bang as someone driving by on I-90 called in a kayaker in distress and we were paid a visit by a couple of County Sheriff Deputies that just wanted to make sure everyone was OK
