Atlanta Ambassador: Nate Madlock

Raised on the water and traveling the country, kayaking was a natural fit for my love of the outdoors, the water and the camaraderie that is inherent in this sport.  I began my kayaking adventures in June of 2013 on the Cartecay River in Elijay, GA.   With my 13 year old son, in tow, and the help of so many seasoned kayakers, I hit the rivers ready to “buck up and huck it”, learning everything with patience and precision. Within the past year, I’ve paddled such rivers as Cartecay, Ocoee, Dog, Chattooga, Tellico, Snake, LRC, USNWC, Nantahala, Sweetwater and more!

My passion for kayaking continues because of my unquenchable desire to conquer every wave, hole, rock, water fall, and is only strengthened by the many people that have helped my son and me, along the way.   My goal is to give back to those that have supported and taught me, and to pay it forward to those that are new to this incredible sport.  Whether paddling a Class 1 or Class 5 river or creek, serenity engulfs my entire being!
